Punjab University extends PUTHAT 2025 registration date

Panjab University has extended the registration deadline for Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test (PUTHAT) 2025. This entrance test is a gateway for aspiring students to secure admission in two prestigious undergraduate programs:

1. Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) – 4 Years

2. Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) – 4 Years

The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM), previously known as UIHMT, has been a pioneer in hospitality and tourism education since 2009. With a strong academic foundation and industry-aligned curriculum, UIHTM aims to develop skilled professionals for the growing hospitality and tourism sectors.

Key Admission Details

- Eligibility: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) and English as a compulsory subject.

- Exam Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes. Check PUTHAT 2025 test pattern.

- Exam Date: April 25, 2025 (10 AM)

- Application Deadline: April 8 April 16, 2025 

Intake

BHMCT: 60 seats + NRI & Foreign National Quotas

BTTM: 30 seats + NRI & Foreign National Quotas
Additional seats are available under special categories, including Kashmiri Migrants, Transgender students, and Rural/Border area candidates.

Selection Process & Counselling: Candidates securing the minimum cut-off percentage (15% for General; 10% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) in the PUTHAT 2025 exam will be eligible for admission. Shortlisted candidates must attend a mandatory in-person counselling session with original documents.

PUTHAT date clash: Candidates should note that the exam dates  applying for PUTHAT and Krea University Round 3  clash/overlap on April 25, 2025. Plan accordingly to avoid scheduling conflicts.
