Panjab University changes PU-CET and PUTAHAT 2026 dates

Panjab University Chandigarh has released revised calendar for its 2026 admission tests for UG courses. Applications were started recently and were to close in Dec 2025 but the application deadline has also been extended till April/May 2026.

(A) BSc and BPharm admissions: Admission in below courses is through entrance test PU-CET-BioT.

a) B.Pharm

b) BSc (Hons) in 4 bio-science related streams namely Biotechnology / Bio Physics / Bio Chemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology

c) BSc (Hons) in Anthropology / Chemistry / Geology / Physics / Physics (Specialization in Electronics) / Mathematics / Mathematics & Computing

Selection criteria: The merit list for admission shall be prepared by giving 25% weightage to marks in qualifying exam and 75% weightage to PU-CET-BioT.

Last day-Create ID & Password: 14 Dec 2025 22 Apr 2026                                         

Last day to deposit fee: 16 Dec 2025 24 Apr 2026

Date of Entrance Test: 28 Dec 2025 10 May 2026

Exam date clash: Please note that this new entrance test date has clash/overlap with Symbiosis Entrance Test. So exercise caution if intend to apply for both.

(B) Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) and Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM): Admission to both these courses is through the admission test PUTHAT, the application process for which is in progress.
