PGIMER Chandigarh BSc Nursing 2025 applications open

Application process has been started by Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, an Institute of National Importance and ranked number 2 Medical College in India as per NIRF 2024 (and also 2023), for admission in its 4 Year BSc Nursing programme. The programme is run in PGIMER’s National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE) which was established in 1964.

Date of Computer Based Test: 27 Jul 2025

Exam date clash: Please note that the date of entrance test of PGIMER clashes with that of another premium institute NIMHANS (NIMHANS entrance test for BSc Nursing, B.Sc Anaesthesia Technology, B.Sc Medical Imaging Technology and B.Sc Clinical Neurophysiology Technology). So please keep this in mind while applying and especially while selecting the test centre.

Eligibility

Open on All India basis.

Only female candidates are eligible.

10+2 examination passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other examination as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Stipend & Service bond : Institute awards stipend to all students during four years. Students are required to execute bond to serve the PGIMER, Chandigarh and other Central Govt. Institutions only for a period of three years if offered a job within six months by any of the above-mentioned institutes after the completion of the training otherwise after six months of the completion of the training, this condition of the bond will be in-operative. The students are required to open a Saving Bank Account with the SBI, Medical Institute Branch.
