Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Greater Noida is a state university setup by the UP Govt in 2008. The University is funded by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), the undertakings of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It conducts Graduate Proficiency Test for Undergraduates (GPTU) for admissions into its various courses. The university runs 8 Schools of Learning:

4. School of Engineering

5. School of Vocational Studies and Applied sciences

6. School of Humanities and Social Sciences

7. School of Buddhist Studies and Civilization

Reservation / Relaxation : Reservation and relaxation policy is as per the Uttar Pradesh Government rules and Gautam Buddha University rules.

Sports persons providing evidence of participation in National / International level events may be provided 5% relaxation in respective qualifying examination.

Scholarships and Assistantship

a) 50% fee relaxation for candidates securing 80% and above marks in Class 12 and opting for Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engg.

b) 50% scholarship in tuition fee to all SC/ST candidates. Scholarship for remaining fee as per UP Govt rules.

c) Merit scholarship to position holders on annual basis.

d) Exemption of 50% in tuition fee to wards of GBU employees.
