H.N.B. Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun shall conduct UPMT for admission into government quota seats of MBBS & BDS in state of Uttarakhand.
Pls Note: Until 2014, UPMT was being conducted by G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. However, in 2014 the Govt. of Uttarakhand has established a new University - H.N.B. Uttarakhand Medical Education University, Dehradun that will be responsible for conducting UPMT in 2015.
Eligibility: Uttarakhand domiciliary requirements apply -
Candidate will either have to be a domicile/permanent resident of Uttarakhand and should have completed his/her high school and Intermediate from a recognized institute/school of Uttarakhand or
A non-permanent resident of Uttarakhand who should have passed his/her 10th & 12th std from a recognized institute in Utarakhand (He/she is not eligible for any reservation) or
Candidates who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand but have completed their 10th & 12th std from outside the state.

Govt. Medical College Srinagar (85 Seats)
Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences Dehradun (25 Seats)
Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute Of Medical And Health Sciences (No Data in prospectus)
BDS: Seema Dental College Rishikesh (50 Seats) and
Uttaranchal Dental College Dehradun (50 Seats)
Test Pattern:
All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options against each of the questions) with one correct answer and the answer to each of the questions has to be marked on the OMR using blue/black ball-point pen.
Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany - 50 Qns each
Total 200 Questions
Duration - 3 hrs
Each correct answer will be given one mark.
There is no Negative marking
