UPSC Starts 2024 NDA-II Applications

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started accepting applications for the NDA & Naval Academy Entrance Exam which is conducted twice every year for admission to

(1) Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and

(2) Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC)

Eligibility

Nationality: A candidates must be an unmarried male/female and must be

(i) a citizen of India, or

(ii) a subject of Nepal, or

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii), above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

Age, Gender and Martial Status: Only unmarried candidates (Male/Female) born not earlier than 02 Jan 2006 and not later than 1st January 2009 are eligible.

Educational Qualification

(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: Pass Class 12 of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University. (i.e. Candidates from any subjects stream are eligible)
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Pass Class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates appearing at the 12th Class Examination are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the 12th Class Examination by a date to be specified in the Commission's Notice for the Examination.

Candidates currently in Class 11 are not eligible for this exam.
