UP Drops UPSEE, BTech admissions through JEE Mains 2021

Technical University, Lucknow), has decided to discontinue Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) for BTech admissions with effect from 2021. It shall henceforth grant BTech admissions in the state based on JEE-Mains (2021) which shal be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency).
Acceptance of NTA’s JEE Mains 2021 and free JEE coaching
The university, in its notice dated 25 Nov 2021, has put forth the following key points :
1. In Engineering courses, admission shall be on the basis of JEE-Mains starting from academic session 2021-22.
2. Students desirous of taking admission in engineering colleges in UP will, therefore, have to attempt only JEE-Mains. UPSEE will no longer be conducted.
3. NTA’s test prep app can be downloaded free of cost from google play store free of cost.
4. Efforts shall be made to provide free coaching for JEE-Mains to students in recognised schools in the state.
