The Supreme Court has stayed the declaration of the results of the All-India Pre-Medical Test for admission to the MBBS course, which had been marred by a paper leak. The results were to be declared on June 5. But the court said that it will decide the fate of the exam on June 10 and it wants some tangible information so that it can take a decision.
The bench comprising Justice Prafulla C Pant and Justice Amitava Roy -- was hearing a petition that asked that the test be conducted afresh. But the Central Board of Secondary Education, which conducts the exam, denied there was any leak and said repeating it will take three or four months and the whole process will be stayed.
The Special Investigation Team which is probing the case had told the court that the mastermind was one Roop Singh Dangi. He used government and private doctors to find out the answers and sent those to students through WhatsApp and SMS from multiple phones and SIM cards. Follow us on Follow us on
