SVPISTM Opens Textile UG Courses 2025 Admissions

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management (SVPISTM) Coimbatore, an autonomous institute under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It provides comprehensive education, training, consultancy and research in Textile Science and Management.

The institute is now accepting registrations for 2025 admissions in its BSc & BBA Textiles programs.

Courses offered & intake

a) 3-Year BSc (Textiles)

b) 3-Year BSc (Technical Textiles)

c) 3-Year BSc (Textile & Apparel Design), 4-Year BSc (Textile & Apparel Design (Hons/Research) - Candidates can exit after three years with UG degree of BSc (Textile & Apparel Design).

d) 3-Year BBA (Textile Business Analytics)

Note:

Admission procedure: Candidates will be admitted to the above courses on the basis of the marks scored in the higher secondary examination and the marks scored in the CUET or SVPET Entrance Test.

However, the date of entrance exam is not yet decided and applicants will be notified of the same in due course.

About the Courses: The full time degree programmes are specifically tailored to fit the needs of the international textile and clothing sector. In this course, the students acquire an overarching knowledge about textile and clothing technology as well as management practice. Applied Science, Languages, Textiles and Management Subjects will be dealt in the programs. Students exchange programs, internship, Industrial visits and business sessions are the part of the program. Self-study topics, hands on training in the conducive environment provides comprehensive learning platform.

Eligibility

(a) For BSc (Textiles)

A Pass in Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India with science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology) / vocational stream with textile subjects having 50% of marks for General and 45% marks for OBC (NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/PWD candidates.

(b) For BSc (Technical Textiles)

A pass in the HSC or equivalent of any recognized board in India with science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology) / vocational stream with textile subjects having a minimum average percentage of 50% marks for general category candidates and 45% marks in case of OBC (NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/PWD candidates.

(c) For BSc (Textile & Apparel Design)

A Pass in Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India (any stream) having 50% of marks for General and 45% marks for OBC(NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/ PWD candidates.

(c) For BBA (Textile Business Analytics)

A Pass in Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India (any stream) having 50% of marks for General and 45% marks for OBC(NCL)/EWS/SC/ST/ PWD candidates.

SVP Entrance Test

SVP Entrance Test is an online test with one hour duration having 50 MCQs.

The topics covered are English, Numerical Aptitude / Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

Application procedure: Applicants are required to fill all the information with their own handwriting and send the scanned copy of the same with following documents to the mail: admission@svpitm.ac.in

- SSLC & HSC certificates (for both UG and PG aspirants)

- Community certificate (for BC/SC/ST candidate)

- Economically Weaker Section certificate (for EWS candidate)

- Disability certificate (for PWD candidate)

- Aadhar card

- Scanned photograph in jpg format

- Transaction details of online application fee payment.

Application fee: Application fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs.500/-. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category are exempted from payment of application fee. Application fee can be paid through online and the transaction details should be furnished in the application form.

Note: candidate can apply for only one course with one-time payment.
