Premium IISER 2024 Admissions Only Through IAT

Applications have been started for 2024 admissions in UG and integrated UG-PG courses in the Seven premium Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).

Imp note - This year, all admissions are only through IISER-IAT (IISER Aptitude Test). Till last year, there were 3 more channels for admission – JEE-Advanced, KVPY and SCB (State and Central Board toppers) which are no longer available now.

About IISERs:  To promote high quality scientific education, research and training, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has set up seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.  The IISERs offer wonderful opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students seeking fulfilling science-based careers. Students can learn the basic sciences through a detailed program and, in parallel, work on cutting-edge research alongside exceptional faculty members. Each IISER is an autonomous institution which awards the degrees.

Entrance exams clashing with IISER-IAT: Please note that IISER-IAT has date clash/overlap with IITMZST (9 Jun), CITBTEE (9 Jun) and KEAM (1-9 Jun),

Scholarships: Students admitted will be eligible for a limited number of INSPIRE scholarships as per the norms of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Foreign nationals: Candidates who are not citizens of India AND do not hold OCI/PIO card shall be considered foreign nationals. Such candidates if eligible to appear for IAT 2024 may contact the Chairperson Joint Admissions Committee at askjac2024@iiserb.ac.in with the email subject line "Foreign National - Application for IAT 2024".
