NTA changes JEE Mains 2025 Test Pattern

In its first notification about JEE Mains 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a change in the test pattern. Now that the Covid issue is over, it has decided to revert to the pre-Covid pattern.

Changed test pattern

The choice of answering any 5 questions (out of 10) in Section B in Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) has been withdrawn.

Which means that Section B in Papers 1, 2A and 2B will now have 5 questions per subject and all questions will be compulsory.

Schedule for 2025 admissions: NTA is yet to release the schedule, prospectus and other related details for 2025.

Premium option for Humanities & Commerce students: Important to note that students of any subjects stream who pass the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) with 50 % marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination are eligible to attempt JEE-Mains Paper 2B and thereby get admission in B.Planning course even in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.
