NTA Adds 2 New Domain Subjects in CUET-UG 2024

In light of UGC and CBSE directions to promote skill subjects in true spirit in line with NEP recommendations, National Testing Agency (NTA) has added the following 2 new Domain Subjects in CUET-UG this year:

i) Subject: Fashion Studies, Subject Code: 328

ii) Subject: Tourism, Subject Code: 329

Students who have already applied for CUET-UG may also add these subjects during the correction period. However, the candidate for selecting more subjects will pay an additional fee (if applicable).

Implication for students

a) Wider choice available now – 29 Domain subjects instead of the earlier specified 27.

b) Check test subject requirements for specific University-Course of choice and make changes in CUET application accordingly.

Implication for participating Universities: The participating Universities will also have to reconsider and announce changes in test subject requirements for select/specific courses.
