The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the NEET (UG) 2026 exam, the highly anticipated entrance test for admissions to undergraduate medical programs across India. The 2026 edition is expected to witness even greater participation as it remains the only gateway for securing seats in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, BUMS, and nursing programs.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria

NEET (UG) 2026 is open to Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals who meet the eligibility criteria. The exam is mandatory for students aiming to pursue medical UG courses in India as well as those planning to study abroad.

Admissions will be based on the All India Rank (AIR) derived from NEET (UG) 2026 scores. The counseling process will be conducted for various quotas, including:

- 15% All India Quota Seats

- State Government Quota Seats

- Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities

- Private Medical/Dental Colleges

Reservation policies for categories such as EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwBD will remain applicable as per government norms.
