Maharashtra changes 2025 Law Entrance Exam scheme

State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL), Government of Maharashtra, has announced changes in its 2025 Law Entrance Exam.

This entrance test is for admission to the First Year of the Five Year Full-Time Professional Integrated Under-Graduate Degree Courses in Law. 

Course(s) Offered: 5-Year Integrated BBA-LLB, BLS-LLB, BA-LLB etc covering the following

1. The Government College offering LL.B. 5 Yrs. Integrated Course.

2. All Government Aided Colleges (including Aided Minority Institutions) offering LL.B. 5 Yrs. Integrated Course.

3. All University Departments offering LL.B. 5 Yrs. Integrated Course.

4. All University Managed Institutes offering LL.B. 5 Yrs. Integrated Course.

5. All Un-aided colleges (including Minority Institutions) offering LL.B. 5 Yrs. Integrated Course, covered as per the Act. 

Following changes have been made in the entrance exam vide notice dated 29 Jan 2025.

Number of questions reduced from 150 to 120 with following section wise breakup:

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning: 32 Qns, 32 Marks
General Knowledge with Current Affairs: 24 Qns, 24 Marks
Logical and Analytical Reasoning: 32 Qns, 32 Marks
English: 24 Qns, 24 Marks
Mathematical Aptitude: 8 Qns, 8 Marks

Application last date for Maharashtra Law Entrance Test is 3 Feb and the test is scheduled to be conducted on 28 Apr.
