LNIPE Gwalior : Sports and Physical Education courses

Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior, established by the Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India in 1957, invites applications for its two niche undergraduate courses.

Courses Offered

(a) 8 Semester (4 Year) Bachelor of Physical Education (Integrated)

(b) 6 Semester BA (Sports & Performance)

The Institute was given the status of National importance. In 1995 it was conferred the status of Deemed University in 1995. The North East Regional Centre (NERC) of LNIPE is located in Guwahati.

The BA programme is an Open & Distance Learning course only for elite sportspersons, offered only at Gwalior as study centre.

Academic qualification

(a) For BPEd : Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or Intermediate/equivalent examination from any recognized Education Board/ University etc. with at least 50% Marks for UR and OBC categories. 45% Marks for SC/ST category, Kashmiri Migrants & Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir valley and also for candidates who have participated in International/National/Inter University/ School Nationals Games (SGFI) in Sports Competitions or position holders of Inter-Zonal University Games/Sports. No other championship shall be considered.

(b) For BA (Sports ( Performance) : Senior Secondary Certificate examination (10+2) or Intermediate / equivalent examination from any recognized Education Board etc.

Selection criteria : Selection is based on merit drawn through an Online written test alongwith weightage of achievement in specified sports
