Indian Navy BTech Cadet Entry Scheme Closing 20 Jan
Published on : 18-Jan-2024 Powered by www.Opasis.comApplications are ongoing and shall close on 20 Jan 2024 for selection of unmarried male and female candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a 4 Year B.Tech degree course under the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for Executive & Technical branch.
Please note that this is for candidates who have already passed 10+2 (or equivalent) and have appeared in JEE-Mains 2023. Students who will be appearing in 10+2 in 2024 are not eligible.
Vacancies & age
Vacancies: 35 (maximum 10 for women). Branch allocation viz Executive & Technical (Engineering & Electrical) will be undertaken at INA.
Age: Born between 02 Jan 2005 and 01 Jul 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Educational qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
Who can Apply: Candidates who have appeared for JEE-Mains 2023 (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE-Mains All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2023 published by NTA.
Selection Procedure
(a) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over.
SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Mar 2024 onwards.
(b) Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from Naval Headquarters via SMS/email (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter.
(c) No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.
(d) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.
How to Apply: Candidates are to register and submit the application latest by 20 Jan 2024 on the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
