IIT Kanpur is opening its doors to exceptional young minds! Starting from the 2025-26 academic year, students who have excelled in international olympiads in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Informatics can now bypass the JEE Advanced exam and directly apply for BTech and BS programs.

Yes, you read that right.  JEE-Main & JEE-Advanced will NOT be required for candidates seeking entry through this pathway.

How it works:
1. Olympiad Excellence:
You must have participated and performed well in a recognized international olympiad.
2. Academic Eligibility: You should have completed or be about to complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
3. Selection Process: Shortlisting based on olympiad performance, followed by a written test and/or interview.

Why this is a big deal:
This new pathway offers a unique opportunity for talented students to gain direct admission to one of India's top engineering institutions. It recognizes and rewards exceptional academic abilities and problem-solving skills.

Timelines:
The application process for this pathway will open in March 2025, with the window closing by the end of the month. Screening and written exams will take place in May, followed by final offer letters in June.
