IIM Kozhikode Launches New BMS Program; Admission Test on June 22

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM-K), ranked 3rd in India under the Management category by NIRF 2024, has announced admissions to its newly launched Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) program. This marks the first time IIM Kozhikode is offering a standalone undergraduate program, and the 2025 batch will be its launch cohort.

Unlike the existing 5-year Integrated Programs in Management (IPM) offered by other IIMs such as Indore, Rohtak, Ranchi, Bodh Gaya, and Jammu, IIM Kozhikode’s BMS is a 4-year degree focused on Management Studies, with options to minor in fields like Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, Finance, Marketing, and Liberal Studies. Students from all academic streams—Science, Commerce, and Humanities—are welcome to apply.

Note that the Selection is via an Aggregate Score Index (ASI) based on the performance in the entrance test, Grade 12 & Grade 10 marks.
Who said Grade 10th marks aren't important!!

Exemption from entrance test: Candidates who have valid JEE (Mains) scores or valid SAT or ACT scores are exempted from appearing for the IIMK-BMS AT.

Students aspiring to build a career in management, consulting, finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship at a young age now have a fresh and prestigious option to consider.

Date Clash: However, candidates should note that the BMS Admission Test (IIMK-BMS-AT) is scheduled on the same date as the NEST 2025 and Presidency University's Kolkata UG entrance exams. Applicants must plan carefully and prioritize based on their career goals.

The newly introduced program aligns with the National Education Policy 2020’s vision for flexible, multidisciplinary undergraduate education and will be conducted at IIM Kozhikode’s Kochi campus.
