IIIT-Bh 2021 State Quota Applications STarted
Published on : 03-Oct-2021 Powered by www.Opasis.comInternational Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar, a University established by the Govt. of Odisha, invites applications for admission in B.Tech programs against the 50% seats reserved for “Odisha State Category” students. Counseling/seat allocation against these seats shall be done independently, hence students need to apply for this separately.
Admission process: Admission to regular B.Tech. programmes will be purely based on the merit list generated from JEE Mains 2021 All India (CRL) Ranks generated from the final NTA score published by the NTA.
Number of seats and reservation
The Institute reserves 50% of the seats for Odisha State Category (“S”) candidates. Remaining seats are open to all which is termed as Open to All (“OTA”) category.
a) Computer Science & Engineering: 30 seats each in OTA and S category
b) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: 30 seats each in OTA and S category
c) Electrical & Electronics Engineering: 30 seats each in OTA and S category
d) Information Technology: 30 seats each in OTA and S category
e) Computer Engineering: 30 seats each in OTA and S category
The reservation applicable for different subcategories under Odisha category like: Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Challenged, Green Card, Ex-Serviceman, Reservation for the students of Govt. of Odisha high schools and colleges etc. shall be as per Govt. of Odisha norms. Apart from these reservations, 5% extra of the sanctioned strength in each branch shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Tuition Fee Waiver scheme under Odisha category.
Counseling/seat allocation: Counseling / seat allocation for Odisha State Category shall be done independently by IIIT Bhubaneswar. All eligible students need to apply separately for this.
For Open to All seats, this shall be through JoSAA.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to regular B.Tech. programmes for Odisha category candidates shall be as per the guidelines of JoSAA 2021. 5% relaxation in marks would be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
Important dates
Start of Online Application: 29 September 2021
Last Date to apply: 15 October 2021
Publication of round wise provisional allotments shall be done in-line with the schedule of JoSAA/CSAB 2021. However, the total number of provisional allotment rounds may differ from the JoSAA/CSAB 2021 schedule.
The schedule of round-wise provisional allotment and the document verification shall be published in due course of time in the admission web page.
A special round of admission may be held if required after all the regular rounds are over. The detail procedure and date for the same shall be given later in our website.

Application fee and procedure
A) Application fee: Rs.1,000/-
B) This application procedure is applicable to Odisha category candidates only.
C) Only on-line application is accepted.
D) Step 1
a) Pay the nonrefundable application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) along with the applicable convenience charges from the payment gateways through online transaction.
b) The nonrefundable application fee can be paid through SBI collect.
c) To reach at SBI collect, type the following in your web browser: https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm
Click the check box available beside the statement “I have read and accepted the terms and conditions stated above.” Then press the proceed button
Select State as “Odisha” and Type of Corporate/Institution as “Educational Institutions”. Then press “Go”. Select Educational Institutions Name as “INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY”. Then press “Submit”. Select payment category as “Application Fees”. Fill in all the details asked there. In the place of Application ID, write your JEE Main 2021 Application number. Pay the application fee and save the generated receipt for any future reference.
E) Step 2
a) Click on the link given in the IIIT Bh’s admission website to apply online. You need to have a Gmail account for filling up the online application form.
b) Carefully fill in all the relevant fields of the blank application form, which includes the payment details.
c) Once you submit the online application form, a response indicating all the filled in data by you shall be sent to your email id. You are required to save that response for any future reference.
d) You can also edit the data in the application form by using the response sent to you.
e) In case of multiple submissions of online application by a candidate, the last submission by the candidate shall be considered and used for the purpose of admission.
