IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech Counseling 2025
International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bhubaneswar, a University established by the Govt. of Odisha, is accepting online applications for institute level seat counseling and seat allocation for admission in B.Tech programs.
Seat categories
- The Institute reserves 50% of the seats for Odisha State Category (“S”) candidates.
- Remaining seats are open to all which is termed as Open to All (“OTA”) category.
Counseling/seat allocation: Counseling / seat allocation for Odisha State Category shall be done independently by IIIT Bhubaneswar. All eligible students need to apply separately for this.
For Open to All (OTA) seats, this shall be through JoSAA / CSAB.
Admission process: Admission will be purely based on the merit list generated from JEE Mains 2025 All India (CRL) Ranks generated from the final NTA score published by the NTA.
Number of seats and reservation
a) Computer Science & Engineering: 75 seats in S category, 75 in OTA
b) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering: 38 seats in S category, 37 in OTA
c) Electrical & Electronics Engineering: 38 seats in S category, 37 in OTA
d) Information Technology: 38 seats in S category, 37 in OTA
e) Computer Engineering: 38 in S category, 37 in OTA
The reservation applicable for different categories and subcategories under the Odisha category like Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Challenged (PC), Green Card (GC), Ex- Serviceman (ES), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Reservation for the students of Govt. of Odisha high schools and colleges (GH), Outlying Odia speaking tracts (OL) etc. shall be as per Govt. of Odisha norms.
Under the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme, up to a maximum of 5% of “Approved Intake of the Odisha State Category” per course shall be available for this admission. These seats shall be supernumerary in nature.
Reservation for Women: At present 30% of the seats in all the categories except OL and TFW categories are reserved for women candidates for B.Tech courses. Odisha state candidates who are willing to avail Women Quota, have to produce Odisha Nativity certificate, else they will be considered as Unreserved (UR) Candidate.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission to regular B.Tech. programmes for Odisha category candidates shall be as follows:
- The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks or 6.32 CGPA in Class 10 Board Examination.
- The candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate percentage of marks in +2 Science stream.
- The candidate must secure at least 45% or more in each of the following subjects - Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry in Class 12 science stream.
- 5% relaxation in marks would be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
The eligibility criteria for OTA category students shall be as per the guidelines of JoSAA 2025.
Important dates
Last Date to apply: 19 Jun 2025
Publication of round wise provisional allotments shall be done in-line with the schedule of JoSAA/CSAB 2025 schedule.
The schedule of round-wise provisional allotment and the document verification shall be published in due course of time on the admission web page.
A special round of admission may be held if required after all the regular rounds are over. The detail procedure and date for the same shall be given later on institute website.
Application fee and procedure
A) Application fee: Rs.1,500/-
B) This application procedure is applicable to Odisha category candidates only.
C) Only on-line application is accepted.
D) Step 1
a) Pay the non refundable application fee of Rs.1,500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) along with the applicable convenience charges from the payment gateways through online transaction.
b) The non-refundable application fee can be paid through the eshiksa platform of Union Bank of India https://erp.eshiksa.net/DirectFeesv3/IIITBhubaneswar
Note - the place of Application ID, write your JEE Main 2025 Application Number.
Keep the generated transaction receipt showing successful payment for any future reference.
E) Step 2
a) Click on the link given in the IIIT Bh’s admission website to apply online. You need to have a Gmail account for filling up the online application form.
b) Carefully fill in all the relevant fields of the blank application form, which includes the payment details.
c) Once you submit the online application form, a response link shall be delivered to your email id. You must save that response for any future reference.
d) You can also edit the data in the application form by using the response link sent to you.
e) In case of multiple submissions of online application by a candidate, the last submission by the candidate shall be considered and used for the purpose of admission.
