Himachal Pradesh Univ announces BHMS & BAMS Entrance Test Date

Himachal Pradesh University Shimla on behalf of Government of Himachal Pradesh Department Of Indian System Of Medicine And Homoeopathy (Ayurveda) offers admissions to 5 1/2 Year BAMS & BHMS courses on the basis of Entrance Test in the following two institutes:
Rajiv Gandhi Government Post-Graduate Ayurvedic College Paprola (Kangra Distt.) for BAMS &
Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital (Solan Distt.) for BHMS

Intake:
BAMS: 50 seats
(i) Group-I : 41 seats i.e. 85% of the total seats are reserved for Bonafide Himachalis.
(ii) Goup-II : 2 seats for Govt. of India Nominee.
(iii) Group-III : 7 seats i.e. one seat for Malaysian Nationals and one seat for ICCR Sponsored Candidates and remaining 5 seats to be filled on All India Basis against which Bonafide Himachali who have applied for Group-I seats will also be considered on the basis of over all merit of the Entrance Test

BHMS: 75 Seats
State Quota Seats (Group- A) = 47
Management Quota Seats (Group - B) = 28

Eligibility:
- Most seats are meant for Bonafide Himachalis. The Bonafide Himachali is a person who fulfils at least one the following conditions:
(i) Having his/her permanent home in HP; or
(ii) Residing in H.P. for a period of 20 years or above; or
(iii) Having his/her permanent home in Himachal Pradesh but living outside Himachal Pradesh on account of his/her occupations.
- For BAMS -> 10+2 new Course Examination of a University/Board established by law in India, or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects which shall include a practical test in Science subjects with 50% marks in aggregate (40% marks for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes) and has also qualified the subject of English.
OR
- The B.Sc. Degree with 50% marks (40% marks for Scheduled Castes/Tribes/Other Backward Classes) of a University established by law in India with any three subjects out of Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physiology, Physics, Human Anatomy and Bio-Chemistry; provided that such a candidate must have passed the Pre-Medical or an equivalent examination with English as compulsory subject of Board/University established by law in India.
OR
- Any examination of a University/Board/College or School in a foreign country, recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
For BHMS -> The candidate should have passed 10+2 from H.P. Board of School Education or from a recognized Board or equivalent degree/examination passed with Science [Medical group with Physics, Chemistry & Biology] of the University/H. P. Board of School Education in Science subjects.
- Should have attained the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first Prof. of the course.
- Blind [including colour blind], deaf and/or dumb candidates shall not be allowed for admission to the course.

Test Pattern:
- The question paper will be of objective (MCQ) type.
- There will be 150 questions of one mark each in all. 50 questions each of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Entrance Test will be 2½ hours duration.
- Each question carries 1 mark. For each correct response the candidate will get one mark.
- There will be no negative marking.

BAMS: Rs. 26,700/- p.a. (Tuition, Admission fee, and other fees)
Hostel Fee: Rs. 18,000/- p.a.
BHMS: Rs. 66,500/- p.a. (Tuition, Admission fee, and other fees)
Hostel Fee: Rs. 54,000/- p.a.
