Goa GCET-2020 : New test dates announced, Applications reopened
Published on : 28-May-2020 Powered by www.Opasis.comDirectorate of Technical education, Goa, is reopening applications for Goa Common Entrance Test GCET 2020. The Directorate has also announced revised date for the test, which was earlier scheduled to be conducted on 5 & 6 May 2020.
Revised dates for GCET
Reopening of online applications facility : 26 May 2020
Last date for online application : 10 June 2020
Test 1 (Physics) : 2 hours, 4 July 2020
Test 2 (Chemistry) : 2 hours, 4 July 2020
Test 3 (Maths) : 2 hours, 5 July 2020
DTE Goa has specified that the above dates shall be confirmed by it by 26 June 2020.
Clashing exams : Please note that the date of exam clashes with Maharashtra MHT-CET (Engineering) and also BIT Ranchi BIT-BHMCT (Hotel Management) entrance test
Domicile : Domicile conditions apply (with relaxation in select cases), although candidates from other states are also eligible for GCET.
Branches and Intake : Branch wise breakup of seats (including AICTE Tuition fee waiver seats and Management quota seats) is as below :
i) Information Technology : 248
ii) Computer : 406
iii) Electronics & Telecom : 406
iv) Electronics & Communication : 63
v) Electrical & Electronics : 90
vi) Mechanical : 485
vii) Civil : 169
viii) Architecture : 79
The intake indicated above includes (a) Management quota seats, (b)seats under AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme Supernumerary quota, (c) Supernumerary Quota of 15% of the Sanctioned Intake for admissions of Foreign Nationals/PIO/Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries.
