Goa Common Entrance Test GCET-2021 Postponed

Directorate of Technical education, Goa, had earlier announced that for admission in BE and B.Pharm courses in the academic session 2021-22, it shall conduct the Goa Common Entrance Test GCET-2021 on 4 & 5 May 2021. However, in a new notification dated 5 Feb, it has announced the postponement of the same.

New application and exam schedule for GCET 2021

a) March 2021 : Release of Prospectus containing details of courses, seats, eligibility and merit criteria, rules and procedures for admissions, rounds of admissions, etc.

b) May 2021 : Application acceptance

c) June 2021 : Conduct of GCET 2021

B.Arch admission

Admissions to B.Arch. course shall be on the basis of scores obtained at NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by Council of Architecture, and qualifying exam(Std. XIIth /HSSC/Diploma.)

BE Branches and Intake : Branch wise breakup of seats (including AICTE Tuition fee waiver seats and Management quota seats) as were offered last year (2020) are provided below for reference :

iii) Electronics & Telecom : 406

iv) Electronics & Communication : 63

v) Electrical & Electronics : 90

vi) Mechanical : 485

vii) Civil : 169

viii) Architecture : 79

The intake indicated above includes (a) Management quota seats, (b)seats under AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme Supernumerary quota, (c) Supernumerary Quota of 15% of the Sanctioned Intake for admissions of Foreign Nationals/PIO/Children of Indian workers in Gulf countries.

Admission in MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Paramedical, Nursing, BVSc & AH

All students seeking admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences(Paramedical), B.Sc. in Nursing & B.V.Sc.&A.H. courses in the State of Goa in academic year 2021-22 are required to appear and qualify at NEET UG-2021 (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test, conducted by National Testing Agency NTA).
