Delhi Teachers University is accepting online applications for admission in its 4 Year BA Education (Hons) programme. the admission to which is based on marks in Class 12 board exams.

The programme has three early exit options (after 1 year / 2 years / 3 years).

About the programme: The programme is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to become successful educators and advocates for change in the education sector.

This program goes beyond traditional teacher training by fostering critical thinking, research skills, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

The curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of education, aligned with the NEP 2020 framework. Through internships with schools and NGOs, they will gain valuable hands-on experience and build professional networks.

Following are the expected learning outcomes:

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of core educational theories and methodologies.

- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address educational challenges.

- Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Intake: 60 seats

85% seats are for candidates from NCT of Delhi.

15% seats are for outside Delhi candidates.

Single girl child: One supernumerary seat is reserved for a Single Girl Child.

Eligibility: Secondary (10+2) level from any recognised board with 50 % marks. A relaxation of 5% will be given for SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates as per Govt. Norms in aggregates marks.

About the university: Delhi Teachers University was established by Govt. of NCT of Delhi in Jan 2022. It has been established as a Teaching University with an imperative focus on promoting professional preparation of Pre-service and In-service Teachers, research in Education and Extension activities in the field of school education. Established with a vision to redefine the landscape of teacher education in India, it aims to nurture a new generation of educators who are not only proficient in their disciplines but also compassionate, innovative and equipped to meet the evolving needs of a dynamic educational landscape.
