Delhi BTech Joint Admission Counseling 2022 Starts On 5 Sep

Registrations for Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) 2022 for admission in BTech (approx. 6502 seats) and B.Arch (90 seats) across the five Delhi Government funded Institutes / Universities shall start on 5 Sep 2022. The counseling process is being coordinated by NSUT (Netaji Subhash University of Technology). 

Participating Institutes & Intake
1. Netaji Subhash University of Technology, Dwarka, New Delhi (3 different campuses in Delhi): Approx 2235 seats
2. Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), Main Bawana Road, New Delhi: Approx 2515 seats
3. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Kashmere Gate, Delhi: Approx 892 seats
Please note that in addition to B.Tech, IGDTUW offers a Dual Degree (6 Year) - BTech Mechanical & Automation Engg and MBA with Exit option after 4 years.
4. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIITD), Okhla Phase III, New Delhi: Approx 498 seats
5. Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (2 campuses in Okhla): Approx 400 seats

Admission criteria
1. Admission in BTech in NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW, DSEU and dual degree (B.Tech + MBA) in IGDTUW will be on the basis of CRL Rank in JEE-Mains-2022 Paper I
2. Admission in IIITD will be based on percentile score obtained in JEE-Mains-2022 and bonus points (max 2 points – refer brochure) for achievements in various areas like Olympiads, Programming Contest, National Talent Search, Sports, Culture, Chess, Innovation etc.
Note: Candidates who have appeared in qualifying examination in 2022 and have been placed in Compartment (Supplementary) will not be eligible for admission in 2022.

Delhi Region /Outside Delhi Region seats
a) 85% seats are reserved for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from a School / College / Institution located within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
b) 15% seats are reserved for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from a School / College / Institution located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
For a candidate who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya Delhi / National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Delhi, the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his/her centre of examination.

Counseling Dates

(A) Round 1
1. Commencement of online registration and choice filling: 5 Sep 2022 (10AM)
2. Last date online registration fee payment and choice filling: 25 Sep 2022 (till 5PM)
Registration for different counseling rounds: The above dates are for first round of counselling. However, if a candidate misses the above deadlines for any reason, she/he may participate in the third counselling round through fresh registration.
However, under no circumstances, the candidate registering in succeeding round can claim for seats already allotted to other candidates in preceding rounds in lieu of her/his merit. Therefore, all interested candidates are advised to register and participate in JAC 2022 counselling from the very beginning, i.e., the above mentioned deadlines.

3. Physical verification of documents CW (Defence) Sub-category priority I to V only, Kashmiri migrants AND Bonus points with reference to IIIT-D: 26 Sep 2022
4. Declaration of First Round seat allotment: 28 Sep 2022 (after 2PM)
5. Physical Reporting after Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee at respective University/Institute for Document Verification (different dates depending on category & JEE rank): 29 Sep to 4 Oct 2022
6. Seat freezing (Online through candidate’s login only): 4 Oct 2022

(B) Round 2
1. Declaration of Second Round seat allotment: 6 Oct 2022 (after 2PM)
2. Physical Reporting after Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee at respective University/Institute for Document Verification (different dates depending on category & JEE rank): 7 to 10 Oct 2022
3. Seat freezing (Online through candidate’s login only): 10 Oct 2022

(C) New registrations after Round 2: 11 Oct to 12 Oct (upto 5PM)
After Round-2, a two-day window will be opened for fresh registrations for those candidates who could not register during first application window (01.9.2022 to 25.9.2022). All candidates who registered in first window will get a chance to modify their Preference of Choices in their respective login. (This is a onetime window, no further fresh application or change in Preference of Choices will be considered after this.
This is not applicable for the candidates who have freeze their allotted branch in Round-1 and 2.

(D) Round 3
1. Declaration of Third Round seat allotment: 14 Oct 2022 (after 2PM)
2. Physical Reporting after Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee at respective University/Institute for Document Verification (different dates depending on category & JEE rank): 17 to 20 Oct 2022
3. Seat freezing (Online through candidate’s login only): 20 Oct 2022

(D) Round 4
1. Declaration of Fourth Round seat allotment: 21 Oct 2022 (after 2PM)
2. Physical Reporting after Payment of Seat Acceptance Fee at respective University/Institute for Document Verification (different dates depending on category & JEE rank): 27 to 28 Oct 2022
3. Seat freezing (Online through candidate’s login only): 28 Oct 2022

(E) SPOT Round (subject to availability of seats)
Display of available vacancies: 1 Nov 2022 (after 3PM)
Physical SPOT Round: 2 to 4 Nov 2022
Physical reporting along with payment of balance fee at the respective University/Institute: Refer the website of respective Institution/University.
