DTU Delhi BA (H) Economics 2025 admission through CUET-UG

Delhi Technological University, established by Govt of NCT of Delhi, offers various Undergraduate programmes (and also PG programmes) in multiple domains and is now accepting applications for 2025 admissions in its 4 Year BA (Hons) Economics course (with multiple exit options).

About the course: The course aims to provide a sound understanding of core, pure and applied economics. Students also apply ideas and techniques from other disciplines like analytics, computers, mathematics, statistics and other ability enhancement courses. Apart from building core knowledge in economics, the course permits students to adopt electives of their interest in management subjects.

Multiple exit options: Started in 2023-24, the course is structured in line with the National Education Policy 2020. There are 4 exit options:

1. UG Certificate in Economics

2. UG Diploma in Economics

3. BA (3 Year) with / without a Minor Specialization

4. BA (4 Year) Honors Degree with / without a Minor Specialization

Minor Specializations are offered in two areas - Management and Data Science.

About the institute: The course is offered in University School of Management and Entrepreneurship (USME), Delhi Technological University. USME was established in the year 2017 and operates from its East Delhi campus (Vivek Vihar, Phase II, Delhi). USME not only offers degree programs at UG, PG and doctoral levels, it has also conducted intense workshops for students such as in Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, R for Machine Learning, The Startup Conclave etc.

Eligibility & merit criteria

a) 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with an aggregate (in 5 subjects) of atleast 50% marks and must have also passed Mathematics or Applied Mathematics as a subject in +2.

Relaxation in minimum marks available for select categories like SC / ST (10%), OBC-NCL (5%), Defense personnel (5%), PwD (10%).

b) Candidates must have appeared in CUET-UG 2025.

Merit shall be prepared based on the CUET-UG 2025 score obtained in the combination of following:

- Mathematics

PLUS

- Any two other subjects

PLUS

- Any one language OR Any one additional domain specific subject

Intake: Total 180 seats. Additionally, there is 1 supernumerary seat each for Kashmiri Migrant and Single Girl Child.

State (NCT of Delhi) quota seats: 85% seats are for Delhi Region candidates and 15% for Outside Delhi candidates.

A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College / Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only.

For a candidate, who has passed the qualifying examination through Patrachar Vidyalaya, Delhi / National Institute of Open School, Delhi (NIOS), the criterion for deciding the region shall be the location of his/her centre of examination.

Year 1: Rs.1,17,200/-

Year 2: Rs.1,27,200/-

Year 3: Rs.1,33,200/-

Year 4: Rs.1,33,200/-

Fee above includes Tuition fee, Student welfare fee, Facilities & service charges, EWS fund, Examination fee, Mediclaim and Alumni Association life membership.
