CLAT-2022 & CLAT-2023 to be held in 2022

The Consortium of National Law Universities which conducts the Common Law Admission Test CLAT has announced the date of CLAT-2022.  In a press release the CLAT Consortium has made the following announcements:

1. CLAT-2022 shall be conducted on Sunday, May 08, 2022.
2. CLAT-2023 shall be held on Sunday, 18th December 2023.

CLAT is used for admissions to 5 Year B.A./B.B.A./B.Sc. LL.B programs are offered at 22 National Law Universities and over 52 Private Universities across the country.

The start of Applications and release of the detailed prospectus is expected to be in  January 2022

The test shall be conducted across multiple cities in India.  CLAT is a 2-hour test, with 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. These questions would be divided across the following 5 subjects:

> English Language
> Current Affairs, including General Knowledge
> Legal Reasoning
> Logical Reasoning
> Quantitative Techniques
