CIT Assam opens registrations for 2025 entrance tests

Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, a Deemed to be University, is a Centrally Funded Technical Institute (CFTI) under Ministry of Education, Government of India.

CIT is now accepting applications for 2025 admissions in B.Design and B.Tech programmes, the admission to which is through separate entrance tests.

Admission in BTech

(a) Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech through Direct Entry Scheme must qualify either Central Institute of Technology BTech Entrance Examination (CITBTEE-2025) conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or JEE-Mains 2025 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

(b) 60% of intake is allotted for CITBTEE and rest of the seats are allotted for JEE (Mains) qualified candidates. However, if the seats allocated for admission through JEE (Mains)-2025 are not filled, then those seats will be filled through CITBTEE.

Admission in BDesign: A candidate may be admitted into the first semester of B. Des. programme of CIT in two ways.

(a) The candidate has to clear the CITBDAT entrance examination followed by counseling at CIT, Kokrajhar. 60% seats are filled through this channel.

(b) The second way is by applying and appearing in UCEED conducted by IIT BOMBAY. These candidates should also separately apply to CIT, Kokrajhar and submit the UCEED score cards to the Member Secretary, Admission Committee, within ten days of the declaration of the UCEED results. 40% seats are filled through this channel.
