BITS Design School Opens 2025 BDesign Admission Process

BITS Design School (BITSDES) has started accepting online applications for admission in its 4 Year Bachelor of Design (Hons) programme. The programme is available with 5 specialization options:

- Physical Product Design                                                                                           

- Digital Product Design                                                                                               

- Human-centred Design                                                                                             

- Experience Design

- Visual Design

About BITS Design School (BITSDES): With a foray into the world of design in 2024, BITS Pilani began another chapter. BITS Design School is founded with the objective of creating an inclusive and inspiring space where design students and educators from around the world can come together to learn, collaborate and create.

BITS Design School is conceived and established by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), one of the first private institutes in India to be granted ‘Institute of Eminence' status in 2020 by the Government of India.

Admission channels: While BITSDES accepts the score of NIT DAT Prelim and UCEED, it will conduct its own BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT) for students from different backgrounds who might not have appeared for other design entrance tests.

The selection process is a 3-stage activity:

Steep 1: Shortlisting on the basis of results of any of the above tests.

Step 2: Portfolio evaluation.

Step 3: Interview.

Admission schedule (Round 1)

Last date to apply: 31 Jan 2025

DAT Round 1:  31 Mar to 5 Apr 2025

Portfolio evaluation: 21 Apr to 28 Apr 2025

Interview: 2 May to 12 May 2025
