BIT Ranchi BHMCT 2024 Admission On Class 12 Marks

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, offers a Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (BHMCT) program of four years duration. Applications for 2024 are ongoing.

Selection criteria: The selection will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in Class 12 / Intermediate / equivalent qualifying examination. However, candidates must meet the age criteria and other minimum academic requirements.

Direct Admission: Students having 75% marks or above in their qualifying examination shall be considered for Direct Admission.

Jharkhand quota seats: 50% of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed their qualifying examination (Class 12) from Jharkhand State.

Reservation criteria are as per the statutory norms of the central government, and seats are reserved for SC, ST, Persons with Disability, Kashmiri Migrant, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.

Eligibility

a) Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject.

Appearing candidates may also apply. The candidates will be informed to submit the marksheet of Class 12 in BIT ERP portal after declaration of result.

b) At any level of the studies [Class X or Class XII], a candidate / applicant must have passed all the required subjects at that level from the same Board.

c) Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1999 in case of General / OBC category and 1st October 1994 in case of SC/ST are eligible for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Class X (High School) certificate only will be considered as authentic.

Application fee: Rs.1,500/- (General/OBC/EWS candidates) and Rs. 1,000/ (SC/ST candidates) through ICICI payment Gateway (candidates may use net banking / debit card).
