BHU 2024 UG Admission Registrations Open

Banaras Hindu University shall be granting admission to different UG courses based on the candidate’s merit in CUET 2024 and other course specific eligibility criteria.

The portal is now open for registrations and shall remain open till 5 Aug 2024.

Students can register now and fill their details. Subject preferences can be filled after CUET-UG results are declared, followed by payment of fee.

Types of courses: Courses have been classified as “General”, “Professional”, “Special Courses of Study” and “Vocational” and are conducted in the respective Faculties.

a) General Courses are the regular courses of the University in which admission is made under two categories (a) Regular Categories and (b) Paid Seat categories. The course remains the same for both categories with the only difference that the students getting admission under the paid seat category shall have to pay higher fee.

b) Special Courses are primarily professional and self-financing courses. These courses have separate fee structure. There is no paid seat category in these courses.

c) Vocational Courses are run in the Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha by the Dean Dayal Kaushal Kendra.

Course duration: Duration of all courses is 8 Semesters (4 Years) with exit options as per NEP norms. There are however two exceptions-

(a) Bachelor in Vocational Courses run at Deen Dayal Uphadhyay (DDU) Kaushal Kendra, Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachcha. Bachelor in Vocational Courses will be a six semester (three year) course.

(b) BA LLB (Hons) Course run by the Faculty of Law will be a ten semester (five year) course.

Hons/Hons with Research option: BHU offers a four-year UG program for both Honors and Research, namely UG Honors and UG Honors with Research. Only 10% of students with a CGPA of 7.5 and above will be permitted to select UG Honors with Research based on merit.

Eligibility: The eligibility conditions for different courses vary. Candidates are required to go through the eligibility condition for the course they are interested in taking admission carefully. In case they apply for a course in which they do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria despite appearing in CUET their candidature will be rejected.
