Ali Yavar Jung National Institute offers BASLP in 5 campuses
Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan) AYJNISHD(D), Mumbai graded as ‘Excellent’ by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi, imparts professional training in the areas of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology, Special Education (Hearing Impairment) and Indian Sign Language. AYJNISHD(D) provides clinical, educational, research, development and rehabilitation services in a whole life perspective for persons with hearing, speech, & language disorders.
AYJNISHD is autonomous body under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
Online applications are now invited for admission in 4 Year BASLP (Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology) course in AYJNISHD(D) Mumbai and its Regional Centres.
Campus wise intake, mode of admission, affiliation and eligibility
a) Mumbai campus
Intake: 25 (admission through AYJNISHD entrance test) + 15 (admission through Maharashtra CET / NEET)
3 seats are reserved for Foreign candidates.
Affiliation: AYJNISHD Mumbai is an autonomous institute of Department of Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.
Eligibility: 10+2 (HSC) passed with Physics, Chemistry & any one of the following – Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology.
50% Aggregate for General / OBC & 45% for SC/ST/PwDs
b) Kolkata campus
Intake: 31 seats, admission through AYJNISHD entrance test
2 seats are reserved for Foreign candidates.
Affiliation: West Bengal University of Health Sciences
Eligibility: 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science and English and any other fifth subject.
50% aggregate for General / OBC & 45% for SC / ST / PwDs.
Must be 17 years of age as on 31st December of the previous year of admission.
c) Secunderabad campus
Intake: 31 + 3 EWS seats, admission through AYJNISHD entrance test
Affiliation: Osmania University
Eligibility: 10+2 (HSC) passed with Physics, Chemistry & any one of the following – Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology.
50% aggregate for General / OBC& 45% for SC / ST / PwDs
d) Noida campus
Intake: 25 seats, admission through a separate Entrance Exam conducted by Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University.
Affiliation: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Univ (GGSIPU)
Eligibility: 10 + 2 with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. A candidate also must have passed in English (core or elective or functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination .
Foreign candidates: 3 Seats at Mumbai and 2 seats at Kolkata centres are reserved for foreign candidates.
e) Ahmedabad campus
Intake: 20+2 (EWS) / (16+04##), admission through Maharashtra CET / NEET
## Subject to approval from Admission Committee, Govt. of Gujarat otherwise all seats will be filled through admission committee CET/NEET of Govt. of Gujarat.
Affiliation: Gujarat University
Eligibility: 10+2 (HSC) passed with Physics, Chemistry & any one of Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology.
50% Aggregate for General / OBC & 45% for SC/ST/PwDs.

Entrance test syllabus: The entrance test of AYJNISHD(D) for BASLP is as per NCERT syllabus.
Test centres: Mumbai, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Noida, Janla (Odissa), Guwahati, Srinagar, Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Nagpur.
