University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), is a private university and was established in the year 2003 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Admission Criteria:
(a) Examination Pathway:
UPES Design Aptitude Test (UPESDAT) followed by Personal Interview and presentation on the work portfolio

(b) Non-Examination Pathway:
Admission through Board Merit/JEE-Main/UCEED/NIFT/NID score followed up by Personal Interview and presentation on the work portfolio

Fee Structure
Rs. 2,59,000 (Tuition fee - Rs. 1,56,000 & Academic service fee - Rs. 103,000) for each semester 1 & 2
Rs. 2,74,000 (Tuition fee - Rs. 1,66,000 & Academic service fee - Rs. 108,000) for each semester 3 & 4
Rs. 2,91,000 (Tuition fee - Rs. 1,75,000 & Academic service fee - Rs. 116,000) for each semester 5 & 6 and
Rs. 3,08,500 (Tuition fee - Rs. 1,86,000 & Academic service fee - Rs. 1,22,500) for each semester 7 & 8.

Scholarships:
- The scholarship will be awarded up to 30% of tuition fees only if acceptance fee is deposited within the given timelines
- Applicable to All students who have applied for admission for Undergraduate (UG) programs except Global Pathway Program (GPP) and have taken the 12th CBSE Board / ICSE board or any State Board Exam (mentioned under “COBSE”)
- 25 seats will be reserved for the ward of Armed forces including Paramilitary personnel (Serving and Retired).
- The scholarship will be awarded in the range from 10% to 30% on tuition fees of 1st & 2nd semesters only.
- The scholarship is awarded based on the Class 12th result, JEE score, or CUET score and is applicable for the first year only.
