Shiv Nadar University (SNU) is a multi-disciplinary, student-centric, research-focused Private university situated near New Delhi at Gautam Budh Nagar offering a full range of academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The University is a fully residential campus. On August 3, 2022, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, became the youngest university to be recognized as an Institution of Eminence by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The School of Natural Sciences at SNU has four major Departments: Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Mathematics. The focus of the Dept of Physics is to answer questions ranging from how to design materials leading to novel devices to what are the properties of the Higgs particle. The Dept of Chemistry provides focus on a variety of interdisciplinary areas spanning different scientific disciplines, as well as non-traditional areas in the arts and humanities. The distinguishing feature of the Department of Mathematics is the removal of the artificial barriers between pure and applied mathematics, and between mathematics and other disciplines; emphasis on modern computing skills and applications to real world problems; exposure through seminars and online sessions with leading mathematicians, scientists and thinkers from India and abroad.

Admission process

Route 1: JEE Mains 2026 or 2025 + Interview*.

Route 2: SNUSAT + Interview.

Route 3: College Board SAT + Interview* – Candidates can apply with a valid SAT score.

Route 4: ACT + Interview* - Candidates can apply with a valid ACT Score.

Route 5**: CUET 2026 + Interview* - Candidates can apply with a valid CUET score

*The University reserves the right to call the candidate for a personal interview, if needed.

**The option to apply through CUET and/or NEET would be available after the declaration of results of these National Level Exams (Subject to availability of seats).

SNUSAT Cycles: It will be conducted across 6 cycles from January 2026 to July 2026.

Living expenses per year - Hostel, Mess, Laundry: Rs.243,500/-
Refundable Deposit: Rs.30,000/- 
Admission Fee: Rs.60,000/- (one time, non-refundable)

Scholarships

a) School Topper’s Scholarship:- Awarded to students who have achieved the highest academic standing in their respective schools in class 12thBoard Exam.

b) Merit-Based Scholarship:- Granted to students with outstanding academic performance in qualifying examinations such as Class 12 Board or equivalent Exams.

c) JEE and UCEED Scholarship:-Awarded to students with extraordinary performance in the JEE (Main) and UCEED entrance exams.

Need-Based Scholarship:- Provided to students from low-income households to ensure access to quality education at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR.

d) Sports Scholarship:- Awarded to students who have demonstrated excellence in sports at the international, national, or state level.

Women in B.Tech. Scholarship:- Designed to encourage and support female students pursuing undergraduate programs in Engineering and Technology.

e) Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Granted to top-performing students in the University’s entrance examination (SNUSAT) across programs.

f) Armed Forces Dependents Scholarship:- Available to wards of serving, retired, or deceased personnel of the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, and Indian Army.

g) Interdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences (IHS) Scholarships:- The top 10 performers securing admission to the B.A. (Research) in Interdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences (IHS) program through any entrance test will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver for all four years of study.
