The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SET-Law, renamed as SLAT) is conducted for admission into the 5 year integrated Law programmes offered at following 4 institutes:
- Symbiosis Law School Pune,
- Symbiosis Law School, Noida
- Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad
- Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur.
Please note that the Honours programmes are offered only at Pune.
A candidate can appear for SLAT on both the dates. The higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization.
NIRF Rank: Symbiosis Law School Pune is ranked 7 in the category “Law” in the NIRF 2025 Ranking by GoI (was ranked 5 in 2024).
Additionally, the University is ranked 24 in the category “University” and 40 in the category “Overall”.
Selection criteria and merit list preparation: Final selection shall be based on merit list prepared as per below criteria:
(a) 70% weightage of admission test and
(b) 30% weightage of Personal interaction.
Reservation Policy
(a) Reservation within sanctioned intake: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, PwD 3%.
In SLS Pune, 5% seats are reserved for children/wards of Defence Personnel but only in BA-LLB (H) and BBA-LLB (H) programmes.
The term Defence Personnel would mean only those serving / retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. Retired defence personnel are those who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as laid down in Ministry of Defence letter no 36035/5/85- Estt (SCT) dated 14 April 1987. It includes children of defence personnel who died while in service or after retirement.
(b) Reservation over and above sanctioned intake
International student 20% (maximum)
Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindu Families living in Kashmiri Valley (Non-Migrants) 2 seats per programme.
Nagpur domicile: 25% (Twenty-five percent) seats at the Off-campus Centre of the University at Nagpur are reserved for candidates domiciled in Nagpur.
OCI / PIO/ Foreign Nationals /NRIs: OCI / PIO / Foreign Nationals / NRIs have to apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education (www.scie.ac.in). SCIE earmarks 20% of the total intake of the respective program for such students.
