Program flexibility & multiple exit options: SIU has introduced the four year degree programme with multiple entry and exit options as envisioned in the NEP 2020. The highlights of the new programme offerings are as under:

a) The Programme framework allows exciting options to pursue single major, double majors, minors, opportunity to pursue multidisciplinary, Ability and Skill enhancement courses.

b) Offers a good blend of immersive learning, research and community engagement

c) Includes opportunities for semester exchange programmes with foreign universities

d) Offers the following exit options

- A Certificate at the end of the first year of the programme with 44 credits

- A Diploma at the end of the first two years of the programme with 84 credits

- A UG Degree at the end of 3 years of the programme with 120 credits

- A UG Degree with Honours / Research at the end of the 4 years of the programme with 160 credits

- Offers option of Re-entry within 3 years of exit and 7 years as the maximum permissible period to complete the programme.

Selection criteria and merit list preparation: Final selection shall be based on merit list prepared as per below criteria:

(a) 70% weightage of admission test

(b) 30% weightage of PI (Personal Interaction)

The above is subject to change and may involve other components like Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group

Discussion (GD), Studio Test (ST) as per the concerned institute’s policy.

Reservation Policy

(a) Reservation within sanctioned intake: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, Differently abled 3%, Children of Defence personal 5% (only in SICSR)

(b) Reservation over and above sanctioned intake

International student – max 20%

Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits / Kashmiri Hindu Families living in Kashmiri Valley (Non-Migrants) 2 seats

Seats reserved for Nagpur domicile candidates: 25% seats against the approved intake in each programme offered at the Off-campus Centre of the University at Nagpur for Nagpur Domiciled candidates.

OCI / PIO/ Foreign Nationals: OCI / PIO / Foreign Nationals are exempted from appearing for SITEEE and have to apply through Symbiosis Center for International Education (www.scie.ac.in).
