Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology (A Christian Minority Institution) formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College was established in 1987 and got Deemed University status on 16th July, 2001. The University has been awarded as Category "A" University by Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India and accredited by NAAC with Grade "A" in the year 2017, certified with DNV-GL ISO 9001 standard and offering exemplary education from last 29 years.

Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology (deemed to be University) is situated in Chennai. It offers 27 programmes at UG level and 41 programmes at PG level in all disciplines. The University admits students into Under Graduate Engineering, Technology and Architecture programmes based on the All India Entrance Examination conducted by the University every year.

Admission Procedure

The admission to B.E., / B.Tech., / B.Arch., programmes is done solely on the basis of the performance in the All India B.E/B.Tech./B.Arch. Entrance Examination.

Counselling fee : The candidates will be shortlisted and called for Counselling, based on their performance in the entrance examination. On the day of counselling the branch of study will be allotted depending on the availability of seat and provisional admission order will be issued on the same day after collecting a counselling fee of Rs.50,000/-.

Refund of Tuition Fee is based on as per UGC Regulations.

Year 1 : Rs.2,65,000 for BTech and Rs.2,40,000 for BArch (both incl 25K Admission fee and 10K Student amenity fee) + Hostel fee Rs.60,000

Year 2 : Rs.2,05,000 + Hostel fee Rs.65,000

Year 3 : Rs.2,05,000 + Hostel fee Rs.65,000

Year 4 : Rs.2,05,000 + Hostel fee Rs.65,000

Year 5 (for BArch) : Rs.2,10,000 + Hostel fee Rs.65,000
