Swami Rama University is a Private University established in 2013 and is located near Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Swami Rama Himalayan University conducts Pre-Medical Entrance Examination (PMEE) for admission into Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) course offered by its Medical College, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences.

Intake:
150 seats of which
- 40% seats (60 seats) reserved for Uttarkhand permanent residents of which
a) 25 seats will be filled by the state Govt. based on UPMT 2016
b) 35 seats through PMEE-2016 conducted by SRHU - Remaining 60% seats (90 seats) are open under All India quota to be filled through PMEE-2016

Date of PMEE-2016 Exam: 22nd May, 2016

Online registration starts 15 January, 2016.

Application Procedure:
- Candidates will need to apply online at http://www.srhu.edu.in
- Make payment of Rs. 2000/ Plus applicable transaction charges via Net banking/credit/debit card through SBI Collect Online Payment page
- The candidates need not to upload any document in online application, however they are advised to keep a printout of the confirmation page of their online Application form and fee receipt with them as reference for future correspondence.

Fees:
For permanent residents of Uttarakhand: Rs.33,67,000 (Full course tuition fee)
For permanent residents of Uttarakhand: Rs.45,51,000 (Full course tuition fee)
Educational material fee: Rs 45,000/- for the duration of the course
One time admission fee: Rs. 50,000/-
One time refundable security deposit: Rs. 50,000/-
Hostel fee: Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 75,000/- per annum

Scholarship:
There is a provision for Merit cum Means Scholarship to students admitted to the University on the basis of PMEE. This will be restricted to those students, who belong to hilly districts of Uttarakhand (not Haridwar, Dehradun & Udham Singh Nagar) and have also done their schooling from one of the hilly districts. Only those students shall be considered for merit scholarship, whose parent’s total income from all sources does not exceed ` 25,000/- p.m. Merit list among the applicants shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in PMEE and in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 examination. 50% weightage shall be given to marks obtained in PMEE and 50% to 10+2 marks for preparing the merit list. Only those candidates shall be considered for grant of scholarship, who give an undertaking to serve in the rural areas of Uttarakhand for a minimum period of three years.
