NMIMS carved out a new school Nilkamal School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Analytics (NSOMASA) at Mumbai whose goal is to be a Center of Excellence in the domain of Applied Computational Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Analytics providing quality education and research.

is a newly established school that started its first batch in 2020 with a mission to teach mathematics as a language using some of the finest teachers and extensive use of computers, animations, simulations, and other tools to make mathematics exciting.  All programmes offered at the NSOMASA aim to inculcate a culture of research among the students. This unique feature is overseen by ensuring completion of one research project of 2 credits in two or more semesters of the programme.
