The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is a Central University and was setup on 19th July, 1973 by an Act of Parliament.  NEHU has 44 academic departments and 2 Centres of study under eight Schools. There are 66 Undergraduate Colleges affiliated to NEHU awarding professional and
other degrees. The Central Library of the University has nearly 300,000 volume and 40,000 bound periodicals. The University has a state-of-the-art NEHU Data & Voice Network (NDVN) in the campus providing telephony and on-line access to Internet. NEHU has two campuses, one main campus in Shillong located at Mawkynroh, Umshing, and the Tura Campus located at Chandmari, Tura.  

The Department of Law, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong was established in 2005. The Department of Law offers integrated 5-Years B.A. LL.B (Hons) program at its Shillong campus to students who qualify via its Entrance Test .

Integrated B.A. LL.B (Hons) (10 semesters) -60 seats

Reservation:
1) Open category - 30%
2) Reserved for SC/ST -  50%. Preference will be given to domiciles of Meghalaya.
3) Phy challenged - 3%
4) Reserved for NEHU employees, their spouses and children - 10%
5) University quota: 7%  


Note:
The weightage in the form of additional points instead of percentage be given to the candidate admitted to Professional Courses as follows:-
(a) 5 points for candidate who have passed 10+2 from Schools/Colleges within Meghalaya but is not a permanent domicile of Meghalaya.
OR
(b) 10 points for candidate who is a permanent domicile of Meghalaya (supported by SC/ST or Permanent Resident Certificate) and have passed 10+2 from School/Colleges outside Meghalaya.
OR
(c) 15 points for a candidate who is a permanent domicile of Meghalaya (supported by SC/ST or Permanent Resident Certificate) and has passed 10+2 from Schools/Colleges within Meghalaya  

Fee:
Course Fee 3000/- per semester  
Development Fee - Rs. 6000/-
Moot court fee - Rs. 2000/- (per semester)
Computer fee - Rs. 1500/- (per semester)
Other fees (inc tuition & hostel) - Rs 7000 - Rs.10000 per annum (approx)
