Course offered : 3 Yr BA (Media and Communication), 4 Yr BA (H) (Media and Communication)  at Manipal Institute of Communication, Manipal University (Manipal Campus). 

The three-year BA Media and Communication program allows a student who secures a CGPA of 7.5 and above in the first six semesters to continue to study in the fourth year and complete the BA (Honours) in Media and Communication.

The BA in Media and Communication offers a wide range of subjects in communication, culture, and media production. Additionally, the holistic approach to media education offers the student a wide array of subjects to choose from. Some of them are :

Basis of admission

(a) General Category : Admissions are done on the basis of application, and  Personal Interview.  Until last year the MET entrance test was the pathway to admissions. However, that is not so in 2025.

(b) Foreign/NRI Category : All Foreign / NRI / NRI Sponsored admissions to UG & PG programs will be on a first-cum-first-serve merit basis, subject to the candidate’s performance in the 10+2 (for UG programs) / Bachelor Degree (for PG programs) or equivalent examination in addition to meeting the various eligibility requirements of respective programs as stipulated by the regulatory bodies. There will be NO entrance examinations. Candidates who have confirmed their admission under the Foreign / NRI category, by paying the full first year program fee CANNOT take an admission under the General category.

Fee: Rs.7,30,000/- for full course duration. Hostel charges extra.
