LSAT-India has been discontinued for the 2025 UG admission session by the  Law School Admission Council (LSAC)

The Law School Admission Test (LSAT-India) is the Common Entrance Test conducted by The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) to become eligible for admissions into 5 year integrated law programs offered by multiple law colleges in India that recognize the LSAT-India scores.  LSAC is headquartered in Pennsylvania, USA, and it administers nearly 138,000 LSATs annually.

After completing the LSAT-India registration, candidates can apply to the associated colleges (colleges which will accept LSAT-India scores). Candidates can choose to apply to any or all of the associated colleges, however, LSAT-India scores will be given to all associated colleges. 

Some of the prominent law institutions which have been accepting LSAT scores include Bennett University, O.P Jindal Global University, JLU School of Law, IFIM Law School, Vijabhoomi School of Law, NMIMS Kirit P Mehta School of Law, MIT World-Peace University, UPES, Adamas University, VIT Chennai, Manav Rachna University, Alliance University, BML Munjal University, Daksha Fellowship, Lloyd Law College, Presidency University, GD Goenka University, ISBR Law College Bengaluru, VIT-AP University, Kalinga University, Asian Law College, Shobhit Deemed University, GITAM School of Law, Indore Institute of Law, Arka JAIN University, IILM University, Amity University Jaipur, Amity University Raipur, Amity University Mumbai, Amity University Gwalior, Amity University Gurugram, Amity University Lucknow. 

LSAT-India score validity for 5 years: Starting from 20219, the score became valid for 5 years. However, candidates should check with any law college they are considering about whether they will accept a score received during a prior year.

No. of attempts: The LSAT-India will be administered online across India in Jan and May 2024.

The candidate can choose to take the test in January and use the scores for his/her law college application. The candidate can also retest in May and have their best scores reported to their preferred colleges for admissions. They should complete and submit an online application via the registration portal for either or both tests.

Application Procedure:

1. Apply by first creating a profile online for the LSAT-India entrance test at https://pearsonvue.excelindia.com/lsatindia/

2.You will need a valid email address, a mobile number, passport size photograph, a valid photo ID having complete name, date of birth and signature.

3. The LSAT-India registration fee is INR.3999/-. The fee can be paid online only.

4. Candidates may choose to appear for the test in January and then decide to pay the fees for the test in May at a later stage by logging into the same registration application. They will be required to select the May test and pay the fee for the same. The candidate need not create another account or registration application for the same.

3. LSAC will report your scores to all colleges accepting LSAT scores. However, this does not constitute an application for admission. Candidates must check and apply to colleges separately as per their guidelines.
