Course Offered: 4-Year Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT)
LBS Centre for Science and Technology has invited applications for admission to the Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), Kerala 2022-23 on behalf of the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.
BHMCT is a professional program that provides students with the skills and information needed to work in the hotel industry or to start their own business. It is a comprehensive course focusing on topic knowledge and hands-on training for everyday problems.
The curriculum allows students to learn cooking at a level similar to chefs and pursue it as a career. The program suits individuals interested in hotel management, travel, and tourism.

BHMCT is offered in 8 Self-financing Colleges in Kerala and is affiliated with Kerala Technological University.
1. South Park Institute of Hotel Management, Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram - 120 seats
2. Rajadhani Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Attingal, Thiruvananthapruam - 150 seats
3. KMCT College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kuttippuram, Malappuram - 180 seats
4. St. Joseph’s Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Palai, Kottayam - 180 seats
5. Oriental School of Hotel Management, Lakkidi, Wayanad - 120 seats
6. Lourdes Matha Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kattakada, Thiruvananthapuram - 120 seats
7. Sree Narayana Guru Memoral Catering College, Cherthala, Alappuzha - 120 seats
8. Snehacharya Institute of Management and Technology, Karuvatta P.O, Alappuzha - 180 seats
Total seats - 1060
50% of the seats are reserved under merit seats while the remaining 50% shall be offered under Management quota seats.
Tuition Fee: Ranges from Rs.60,000/- to Rs.75,000/- per year depending on the institute.
Domicile requirement: non-Kerala students are also eligible under Non-Keralite Category II [NK II] category. Refer Eligibility tab for details.
Reservation:
i) State Merit: The seats under the State merit will be filled purely on merit, irrespective of the category/community to which the candidates belong.
ii) Claim for Communal Reservation under Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC)
iii) Claim for Reservation under SC/ST Quota
iv) Claim for reservation of candidates belonging to general candidates, who are classified as EWS (economically weaker section)
v) Claims for Fee Concessions
