The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) was established by an Act of the State Legislature (Act No. XXV of 2002). BOPEE is entrusted with the task of conducting entrance tests and recommending candidates for admission to various professional courses in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. These, interalia, include BE/BTech (Engineering Courses). The Common Entrance Test (CET) will be conducted for the purpose of determining merit of the students for admission the undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Courses in the Government run and privately managed institutions of J&K.

Basis of admission: In case the applications for admission are more in number than the seats available, the admission shall be recommended through Entrance Test, otherwise selection will be made on the basis of the merit scored by the candidate in the qualifying examination.
