About the institute: The ISDI School of Design and Innovation was founded in July 2013 in Mumbai with the commencement of its first UG and PG batches thus committing itself to a new educational model, inspired by the idea of design and innovation as transformative forces in society. 
ISDI is part of Atlas Skilltech University, a brand new private University that started in August 2021. The degrees shall be awarded by Atlas Skilltech University. 
(Note: Until the previous batch, UG students of ISDI were simultaneously enrolling in B.A. Course at Mumbai University or Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to get a recognized degree. This no longer is required from the new Design intake batch starting 2022.)

ISDI is established in collaboration with Parsons The New School for Design, New York. Parsons is recently named the#1 Design School in design studies in the United States & has over 100 years of legacy in creating world-class design leaders like Paul Rand, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Tom Ford & more. Through this association, ISDI benefits from Parsons’ rigorous curriculum, prominent visiting faculty, well-established student exchanges and global relationships.

ISDI Collaboration with The New School Parsons, New York, a global leader in design education enables it to deliver high-quality educational programs that mirror the Parsons educational pedagogy. The partnership enables ISDI to benefit from Parsons’ rigorous curriculum, prominent visiting faculty, well-established student exchanges and global relationships. It also allows Parsons to share their proven educational methodology and give students opportunities to learn and work in real-world settings.

ISDI’s association with Parsons, New York gives us academic direction in the following areas:

2. Quality assurance
3. Student and faculty member exchanges
4. Collaborative projects with students at Parsons' campuses in New York and Paris.

ISDI students get three credentials at the end of the 4-years.:
1. Certificate from Parsons, New York
2. Diploma from ISDI
3. B.Design degree from Atlas Skills University.

About the ISDI Challenge

Intake: 360 seats

Admission Criteria: Based on a step process (a) Portfolio Upload    (b) Design Aptitude Test    (c) Online Interview

Admission Cycles: There are 2 admission cycles

Admission Cycle 1: Oct-Dec
Interviews to be held between 1st & 30th Nov 2021

Admission Cycle 2: Dec-Jan
Interviews to be held between 15th & 31st January 2022

Please note that (a) Portfolio Upload and   (b) Design Aptitude Test (DAT) have to be completed before the interview slots in each cycle.

Fee structure

Tuition Fee: Rs. 5,77,500/- Per Year
Enrollment Fee: Rs. 75,000/- One Time
There may be a nominal increase of 5% of Tuition fee every year
Hostel Fee: Optional, ISDI facilitates accommodation at "The Crescent Bay", Mumbai 
Roughly one can budget 3 lacs per annum for the hostel & mess.
