Note: It is essential to note from the outset that these are not BBA programmes. IIMB’s B.Sc. programmes follow a multi-disciplinary approach and provide a more rigorous quantitative and analytical foundation. Integrating economics and data science ensures graduates develop strong analytical capabilities alongside life competencies, making them uniquely positioned for leadership roles in data-driven organisations.

These are new programs, being started from 2026 batch. Both are of 4 years duration.

Abut the courses: Both the courses are designed for real-world relevance, the curriculum prioritizes analytical depth, contextual thinking, and professional readiness through internships, global exposure, and life-skill development.

students will have opportunities to engage in research projects with faculty members, take part in case study development, and undertake independent research as part of their capstone projects in the final year.

BSc (Hons) Data Sciences: It blends rigorous training in stochastic processes, algorithms, data structures, and psychology with applied business learning.

BSc (Hons) Economics: It combines economic theory with statistical inference, econometrics, and behavioural insights, underpinned by data mining and applied business learning.

2 Stage selection process: The selection of candidates for admission involves a two-stage process.

Stage 1: Entrance test (60% weightage)

Stage 2: Personal interview (40% weightage)

Entrance test scores will be used as the primary criterion for the interview short-listing process. Final selection is based on a composite score comprising 60% of the entrance test and 40% of the personal interview.

Fee structure: The programme fee is Rs.8.5 lakhs per annum for the first two years. There will be a limited increase as approved by the IIMB Board in the third year. This fee includes tuition, hostel accommodation, and examination fees. While mess charges are not included, they are managed on a cost-sharing basis. Students can expect an additional expense of approximately Rs.8,000 – Rs.10,000 per month. Please refer to the official website for the most current information on fees and other expenses.
