The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to contribute in the skill building for the external trade sector of India. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has recognized IIFT as Grade *A* Institution in 2005 as well as in 2015. Over the years, the IIFT has emerged as the national university with focus on International Business Management and Strategy, and such focus is reflected in all three major activities of the Institute: Research, Training and Education.

IIFT conducts its own Entrance Exam for admissions to its 2 year MBA in International Business that is offered from its two campuses, namely
1) Delhi Campus - located in Qutab Institutional Area
2) Kolkata Campus - located in East Kolkata off EM Bypass

MBA (International Business) is a six trimester (2 year) management programme with a focus on International Business for developing a competent cadre of business executives to meet the country's growing requirements for trained personnel in the field of International Business Management.

The MBA (International Business) is a fully residential programme. There is a separate wing for the girl students.

Fee:
General/OBC Category : Rs.7,60,000/- p.a.
SC/ST/PH/Category : Rs.3,50,000/- p.a.
Foreign National /NRI/Children of NRI US$ 27,500 p.a.
Other charges (library, computer, alumni): Rs. 50,000/- for the whole course
Hostel & Mess charges : Rs. 2,00,000/- (approx.) for the whole course

Scholarships:
1) Need Based Scholarship Scheme for students whose family income is below Rs. 4.5 lacs per annum
2) Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs: Four SC students and five ST students, who secure admission to the MBA (IB) program get full tuition fee waiver and partial waiver in other fee. Check brochure for details.

Admission to Foreign nationals / NRI/ Children of NRI: The admission of candidates under this category is on the basis of GMAT score only. The GMAT results should not have been declared before 1 Jan 2015.
