The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa conducts Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) for admissions to Professional Degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy, in the State of Goa.

Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy) and BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences, B.V.Sc.&A.H. and Nursing courses shall be based on NEET-UG scores.

Admission to Degree course in Architecture shall be on the basis of NATA.

Seat for Kashmiri migrant: One supernumerary seat each in the Technical / Engineering college shall be reserved for the children of Kashmiri Migrants staying anywhere in India.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme: Government has approved AICTE Scheme on tuition fee waiver in technical institutes.

As per the provisions of the scheme, each institution shall admit upto maximum of 5% of its sanctioned intake in the same discipline, as Supernumerary Seats. Admissions are to be done based on the same merit list as used for sanctioned intake.

Waiver is limited to approved tuition fee only and all other fees are to be paid by the beneficiaries. Under the scheme, tuition fee waiver shall be provided upto 5% of sanctioned intake of students.

The seats shall be supernumerary and shall not be transferred to other category of applicants. Candidates whose parents’ annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 8,00,000/- shall be considered eligible for availing admission under the scheme. All eligible candidates from General Category Merit List shall be considered eligible for availing seats under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme, provided they submit an Income Certificate in specified format together with their application Form A stating that annual total income of their parents from all sources is less than Rs. 8.00 Lakhs in the year 2022-23. Candidates who fail to produce original Income Certificate during admission round shall not be considered for seats under AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme. Tuition fee waiver shall be granted for the duration of the course, and once a student is given tuition fee waiver, same shall be continued for the normal course duration.

Merit list preparation : The merit list shall be based on aggregate marks of GCET in the subjects of Physics and Mathematics.

In case the above marks of two or more applicants are equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Mathematics shall be placed higher in the merit list.

In case the marks in Mathematics are also equal, applicant with more marks in GCET Chemistry will be placed higher in the merit list.

In case the marks in GCET Chemistry are also equal, applicant with more aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list.

In case of tie at this stage, applicant scoring more marks in Mathematics at the qualifying examination (Std. XIIth) will be placed higher in the merit list

If all the above are also equal, then the applicant with earlier date of birth will be placed higher in the order of merit.

For BArch, the merit list shall be based on aggregate of marks obtained in NATA and the aggregate marks obtained at the qualifying examination (HSSC), added in the ratio of 1:1 i.e with 50% weightage each for NATA score, and aggregate marks in the subjects of qualifying examination.

No revaluation : Since candidates are permitted to retain copy of the ORS, and ORS are machine evaluated electronically, with extreme care and scrutinized, there is no provision for verification / revaluation. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

Domicile : Domicile conditions apply (with relaxation in select cases), although candidates from other states are also eligible. Please read the details of various categories before applying.

Management quota admissions

1. For Management Quota admissions, applicants can contact the Management of the respective Private Institutions.

2. For Management Quota admissions to Engineering seats, applicants are required to answer any National Level Entrance Test such as GCET, JEE, K-CET, MH-CET, etc. and fulfil specified eligibility criteria by AICTE.
