Program Offered: Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme is a four-year integrated professional degree programme of Elementary Teacher Education offered after the senior secondary (class XII) stage of school. The programme is bilingual and interdisciplinary in nature. The programme is currently offered only for girls in 8 women colleges of University of Delhi.
During the course, students study different theory courses in education, subject disciplines and practicum courses such as School contact programme, classroom management and material development and School based Internship. Intensive and focused workshops are organized through the year in the areas of theatre, craft, story-telling and self-development. The programme aims to prepare professional and competent teachers for the elementary school level.
The program is offered only for Girls.
The admission to this program is via Entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
