CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) jointly for admission in different programmes of 12 Central Universities.. It provides a single window opportunity to the students to seek admission in these participating Universities / Institute(s) across the country.

In 2020, admissions in Central University of Kashmir and Central University of Odisha were also through CUCET.
Admission / Counseling: Admissions are handled at the level of each of the participating Central Universities (CUs) for their respective programs. After the declaration of the CUCET result by NTA, the respective CUs will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the weightage on the CUCET score and the other criteria of the respective CU. There will be online / offline admission counselling for participating CUs. Please see the website of the concerned participating university for details.
Provisional answer key display and challenge submission: NTA will display Provisional Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website, with a Public Notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Provisional Answer Keys with online payment of Rs. 200/- per “Non-refundable” question challenged as processing charges.
Test practice centres : As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, NTA has set up, established and created a network of Test Practice Centres for candidates, especially in remote and rural areas to enable them to practice and be comfortable in taking a Computer Based Test (CBT). Details mentioned in Annexure-XI of the prospectus.
Common service centres: Candidates, who are not well conversant with the processes of submitting the online application due to various constraints, can use the services of Common Services Centre. There are more than 1.5 lakhs Common Services Centres (CSC) across the country which will provide the desired support to candidates from urban as well as rural areas in online submission of Application Form and payment of fee through e-wallet. The list of the Common Services Centre is available on website: www.csc.gov.in. Detailed information is given at Annexure-XII of the prospectus.
